The Yanbaru Forest, which was featured in the NHK morning drama “Chimu Dondon,” is a natural forest rich and biodiversity and the host of endemic species such as the Okinawa rail. The Kunigami Village Forestry Association plans to introduce drones to maintain this globally invaluable subtropical evergreen forest.

Simulating flying in the mountains and forests at night, the participants enthusiastically learned how to check the safety of the surroundings and how to assist drone flight using lighting.

Planning flight paths during the day, creating manual and mission flights for nighttime, and on-site training are all useful skills.

The participants have high hopes for the use of drones.
