Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Advanced Integrated Studies in Human Survivability (Shishu-kan) is Kyoto University’s newest graduate school. They are engaged in researching global and universal issues.
Simulating flying in the mountains and forests at night, the participants enthusiastically learned how to check the safety of the surroundings and how to assist drone flight using lighting.
Three professors and students attended Basic and Advanced courses at the Kamigamo site managed by Kyoto University. In the lawns surrounded by trees such as Japanese cypress and Japanese red pine, lectures and practical training on skills such as beyond visual line of sight and night flight were conducted.
Since the purpose of the course was to utilize aerial footage for both research records and public relations, they were particularly eager to ask questions about the aircraft’s performance and camera specifications.
